Kitchen design

Where to even start? This is how some of our customers feel when they embark on a new kitchen. Whether you already have your vision laid out, or need advice and ideas, we can help.

We have the experience to look at a space, listen to your thoughts and requirements, and design the kitchen that works for you. We also understand that it’s a big decision, so if it takes a few changes and tweaks to get to the final signed off plan, that’s fine.

Once we get going, we’ll measure and draw everything out, supply 3D images and give you the time you need to be happy and confident in moving forward. We’ll also take no money until we’re on site starting the work.

Kitchen units

All our kitchen units are FIRA Gold Standard – the quality mark for the furniture industry. We’re committed to keeping our overheads down, so that we don’t need to pass on huge mark ups to our customers. This means you’ll find we can create a high specification look for an excellent price.

When it comes to appliances, the world’s your oyster. We’re here to advise but the decision is yours and whatever you choose will be expertly fitted.

Kitchen fitting

Our kitchen fitting team is small but perfectly formed! With the two lead kitchen fitters having decades of carpentry and kitchen installations behind them, your project will be in very safe hands.

I’ve been in carpentry since I left school (no I’m not going to say when that was).

What I can say though, is that I’m lucky enough to still love my job as much as ever – and not many people can say that.

It’s so satisfying taking a blank canvas, applying my experience and expertise, and seeing everything through to completion in what for many people is the most important room in the house.

Kitchens always evolve, with new exciting trends. But what will never change is that customers want well designed and expertly fitted kitchens that will serve them and their families for as long as possible.

This is why I’ll never pressure you into buying or rush you into decisions. I want to make sure you get it right.

M&C construction were very easy to work with and built us a lovely home.

We wanted a loft conversion and kitchen extension to develop our 3 bedroom semi into a more family-friendly 5 bedroom. From the start, I felt Matt and Clinton were extremely honest and approachable professionals who cared deeply about the work they put their name to. Costs were clearly identified in early meetings, were reasonable and very clear. Matt was very good at walking us through the key decisions in a clear non-technical way. He and Clinton went through all the figures with us in a very professional and transparent scoping process which made sure there were no nasty surprises. Unlike some other quotes, all costs were included.

We were on-site with three young children during the build. Matt and Clinton and the whole team made every effort to minimise the impact on the daily routine. The mess was kept to a minimum and clean up at the end of each day was excellent. It never felt strange to have new people around and the kids really enjoyed their company. Although we were living in a building site for several weeks it never started to grate that the lads were in close proximity.

Timekeeping was excellent and the build came in on time and on budget. My wife project managed all of the intermediate payments and purchasing and had nothing but good to say about the professional and considerate way Matt and Clinton interacted with her. Six years on the fit and finish is still excellent which is a testament to M&Cs commitment to quality workmanship.

I recommend M&C construction without hesitation because you will get the build you want for a great price, delivered on time and to a high standard.

‘Matthew and Clinton were fantastic from the moment they initially visited our property (pre quotation) all the way through to completion. Significantly, they were the only builders (who quoted us) that spotted a potential issue with the build before they’d even quoted us, it’s that kind of attention to detail that is fundamental to the way they work.

We’ve had two successful projects completed by M&C Construction of a large single storey extension with conversion and just recently, a loft extension.
