We wanted a loft conversion and kitchen extension to develop our 3 bedroom semi into a more family-friendly 5 bedroom. From the start, I felt Matt and Clinton were extremely honest and approachable professionals who cared deeply about the work they put their name to. Costs were clearly identified in early meetings, were reasonable and very clear. Matt was very good at walking us through the key decisions in a clear non-technical way. He and Clinton went through all the figures with us in a very professional and transparent scoping process which made sure there were no nasty surprises. Unlike some other quotes, all costs were included.
We were on-site with three young children during the build. Matt and Clinton and the whole team made every effort to minimise the impact on the daily routine. The mess was kept to a minimum and clean up at the end of each day was excellent. It never felt strange to have new people around and the kids really enjoyed their company. Although we were living in a building site for several weeks it never started to grate that the lads were in close proximity.
Timekeeping was excellent and the build came in on time and on budget. My wife project managed all of the intermediate payments and purchasing and had nothing but good to say about the professional and considerate way Matt and Clinton interacted with her. Six years on the fit and finish is still excellent which is a testament to M&Cs commitment to quality workmanship.
